Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RentifyNG (the "Platform", "we", "us"), operated in Nigeria and available at rentifyng.com. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Who we are

RentifyNG is a rental-management platform for Nigerian landlords and real-estate agents. We provide tools to list and manage properties, track rent, communicate with tenants, generate tenancy documents, and collect payments through third-party payment processors. RentifyNG is a technology provider — we are not a party to any tenancy agreement, and we are not a landlord, agent, broker, or estate manager.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract under Nigerian law. Landlords and agents register directly; tenants are invite-only and may only join via an invitation from a landlord or agent. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Verification (KYC)

We may require identity verification, including a government-issued ID and a selfie, to help keep the Platform trustworthy. You confirm that any documents you submit are genuine and belong to you. We may suspend accounts that fail verification or that we reasonably believe are fraudulent.

4. Subscriptions & fees

Access to landlord and agent features requires a paid subscription (currently ₦45,000/year for landlords and ₦120,000/year for agents; prices may change on notice). Subscriptions are billed through our payment processor. Except where required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable once the subscription is active. You are responsible for any bank or processor charges.

5. Payments & rent collection

Rent and other payments are processed by third-party providers (including Paystack). We do not store your full card details. RentifyNG facilitates payments between tenants and landlords but is not responsible for the underlying tenancy, the accuracy of amounts, or disputes between landlords and tenants. Any dispute over rent, deposits, or the tenancy itself is between the landlord and tenant.

6. Documents & agreements

The Platform can generate tenancy-agreement documents from templates and store documents you upload. These templates are provided for convenience only and do not constitute legal advice. You are responsible for ensuring any agreement is appropriate, lawful, and reviewed by a qualified legal professional before use. RentifyNG is not liable for the content or enforceability of any document generated or stored on the Platform.

7. Referral programme

Where offered, agents may earn a referral bonus when a landlord they refer subscribes, subject to the programme terms shown at the time. We may change, suspend, or end the programme at any time. Bonuses already earned and confirmed will be honoured; abuse, self-referral, or fraudulent activity voids eligibility.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Platform to break the law, infringe others' rights, upload false or fraudulent information, harass any person, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or interfere with the Platform's operation or security. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

9. Intellectual property

The Platform, its branding, and its software are owned by RentifyNG and protected by law. You retain ownership of the content you upload (such as property details and documents) and grant us a licence to host and process it to provide the service.

10. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any tenant, landlord, or listing is accurate or trustworthy. Nothing on the Platform is legal, tax, or financial advice.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, RentifyNG will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for lost rent, profits, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the subscription fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or where required by law. On termination, your right to use the Platform ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as payment obligations and liability limits) will survive.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Platform or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
